Clash of the lighting titans

David Hobby...  of Strobist.com and one-light fame is the master of lighting in manual mode and Pocket Wizards...

Joe McNally... a veteran of LIFE, Nat Geo, Sports Illustrated, Time and many other famous mags and is the Grand Master Flash of multi-light setups using the whiz-bang technology of Nikon's Creative Lighting System..  (If you have an interest in photography and haven't read Joe's The Moment it Clicks and The Hot Shoe Diaries, you're doing yourself an injustice)

Mix them together and what do you get?
One rockin' lighting seminar that is likely to leave no stones unturned!

These two are no strangers to teaching their individual crafts and as presenters, few can beat them.  Their combined humor is going to be side splitting.. both have dry, sarcastic, immature (yet humble) style of delivery to compliment their combined 60 years of experience at the shutter release..  (42 days and 29 cities, on a 55 foot long bus with these two guys... Lighting Technique Nirvana?  Kindergarten recess on steroids?  Pre-op for a frontal lobotomy?  For a few short weeks, they will cover 1300 miles across the US map sharing the stage for a session called The Flash Bus Tour.  Hobby doing the AM sessions and McNally lighting things up for the afternoon...

Of course, NYC is on their agenda, but I'll be up in Cape Cod on that date..  They do have a date for Boston, MA on the 9th, which is the final day of the scheduled shoot for me, but I don't think I'll be able to make that either...

If you have an interest in anything Speedlight related and are able to make one of the dates, you might want to sit vigil at your computer on Jan 31st when registration opens.  This is a not-to-be-missed event..
